  The topics covered throughout the term include:

  • Descant Recorder Performance: Exploring recorder parts (head joint, middle joint, foot joint, and finger holes), assembling and disassembling the instrument, observing hygiene and proper handling, mastering holding and blowing techniques, and playing simple melodies based on notes B, A, and G with accurate pitch and rhythm.
  • Indigenous Kenyan Animal Games: Identifying and performing traditional animal games including Gudu gudu, Nyama Nyama, and Mamba, observing safety precautions, and executing animal games synchronized to musical rhythm for health and physical fitness.
  • Concept of Appreciation in Creative Arts: Analyzing creative artworks across key dimensions including behavior, aesthetics, skills, artistic message, constructive feedback, and care of artworks from diverse cultural backgrounds.
