      • Counting concrete objects, taking away no more than 9, and counting the remainder.
      • Identifying the take-away (-) sign and understanding the concept of zero.
  • Measurement
    • Sides of objects and Mass (Weeks 6-9)
      • Identifying and comparing sides of concrete objects (long and short sides).
      • Comparing heavy and light objects using a see-saw.
    • Capacity and Time (Weeks 9-11)
      • Collecting and comparing containers of different sizes to see how much they can hold.
      • Identifying tools for telling time and outlining related vocabulary.
      • Comparing shadow sizes during morning, noon, and evening.
      • Matching daily routines with specific times of the day.
      • Sequencing days of the week and months of the year.
    • Money (Week 12)
      • Identifying and observing different Kenyan currency coins.
      • Counting money using one-shilling coins up to 20.
      • Identifying the value of coins, number symbols on them, and tracing them on paper.
