  This is a group project intended to be completed by 4 to 5 learners over a duration of one month. The entire project is assessed out of a total of 20 marks, distributed across three main tasks.

  The project requires learners to design, create, and plan the sale of a Multi-purpose Desk Organizer, assessing them on the following integrated skills:

  • Task 1: Technical Skills (14 marks): This is the core practical component. Learners must brainstorm a design, create a pictorial sketch with dimensions, select appropriate materials and tools, and construct the organizer. The assessment covers the entire process from planning, material preparation, and tool selection to the final construction, which includes measuring, cutting, joining, and applying a finish.
  • Task 2: Business/Entrepreneurship (3 marks): This task assesses basic business acumen. Learners need to consider the cost of materials and effort to suggest a reasonable selling price for their finished desk organizer. They must also identify key qualities of their product that would make it attractive to potential customers.
  • Task 3: ICT/Computer Studies (3 marks): This component focuses on digital documentation and presentation. Learners are required to capture photos or video clips of the different stages of their project. They must then use this media to create a simple electronic presentation or a digital poster to showcase their work from conception to the final product.
