    • SECTION B (80 marks)
      • This section consists of 20 structured questions, with each question typically carrying 4 marks. Learners are expected to incorporate relevant Islamic teachings in their answers.
      • Tawhid and Shirk: Meaning and importance of Tawhid, attributes of Allah (S.W.T.), meaning of Shirk with examples of Major Shirk, and dangers of committing Shirk.
      • Prophethood and Revelation: The role of prophets in Islam, naming prophets mentioned in the Quran, description of the first revelation to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), reasons for the Quran's revelation in portions, teachings from Surah Al-Ikhlas, and the importance of the Holy Quran in a Muslim's life.
      • Hadith and Sunnah: Definition and importance of Hadith, qualities of a good friend according to Hadith, writing the Hadith on intention and explaining its significance.
      • Pillars of Islam:
        • Shahada: Meaning and its two parts.
        • Salah: Importance of Salah, listing the five daily prayers and their times, steps of performing Wudu (ablution), things that break Wudu, benefits of congregational prayer, practical advice on waking up for Fajr prayer.
        • Zakat: Importance of Zakat, types of wealth subject to Zakat, categories of people eligible to receive Zakat.
        • Sawm: Importance of fasting during Ramadhan, conditions for obligation to fast, things that break the fast, significance of fasting for personal conduct.
        • Hajj: Importance of Hajj, description of two main rituals and their spiritual significance.

      • Islamic History after the Prophet (PBUH): Introduction to one of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and a significant event during their leadership.
      • Social Issues and Community: Islamic perspective on why drug abuse is prohibited and its negative effects, Islamic teachings on honouring and caring for the elderly, resolving disagreements peacefully based on Islamic teachings, the importance of a mosque beyond prayer and its community roles, Islamic concept of showing gratitude to Allah (S.W.T.).
