  This curriculum design is developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and supports the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at the Junior School level.     • Preserving Animal Products (Milk and Meat) – 9 lessons
    • Cooking: Preparing a Balanced Meal – 11 lessons
  • Strand 3: Hygiene Practices
    • Cleaning the Kitchen – 9 lessons
  • Strand 4: Production Techniques
    • Sewing Skills: Constructing Household Items – 14 lessons
    • Constructing Innovative Animal Waterer – 10 lessons
    • ICT Support Services (accessing agricultural and household support information) – 9 lessons

  The curriculum also integrates Community Service Learning (CSL) projects, promotes core CBC competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and digital literacy, and emphasizes values, environmental conservation, food security, health promotion, and sustainable livelihoods.
