  This curriculum design is developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). It was first published in 2022 and revised in 2024 following the rationalization of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) based on recommendations from the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER) and feedback from curriculum implementers.

  • Strand 3.0: Measurement
    • 3.1 Length, Mass and Capacity – 8 lessons
    • 3.2 Perimeter and Area – 10 lessons
    • 3.3 Time – 6 lessons
  • Strand 4.0: Geometry
    • 4.1 Lines and Angles – 10 lessons
    • 4.2 Triangles and Quadrilaterals – 10 lessons

  • Strand 5.0: Data Handling and Probability

  The curriculum prepares learners for advanced mathematical learning by strengthening analytical thinking, accuracy, creativity, and confidence in solving everyday mathematical problems, while supporting pathways in STEM-related fields at Senior School.
