  The PDF document comprises Grade 7 Rationalized Agriculture and Nutrition Curriculum Design.

  This curriculum design is developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) to support the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at the Junior School level. It was first published in 2022 and revised in 2024 following recommendations from the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER) and feedback from curriculum implementers.

    • 2.1 Crop Establishment – 9 lessons
    • 2.2 Selected Crop Management Practices – 8 lessons
    • 2.3 Preparing Animal Products (Eggs and Honey) – 9 lessons
    • 2.4 Cooking Food (Grilling, Roasting, Steaming) – 9 lessons
  • Strand 3.0: Hygiene Practices
    • 3.1 Hygiene in Rearing Animals – 9 lessons
    • 3.2 Laundry: Loose-Coloured Items – 8 lessons
  • Strand 4.0: Production Techniques
    • 4.1 Knitting Skills – 10 lessons
    • 4.2 Constructing Framed Suspended Garden – 10 lessons
    • 4.3 Adding Value to Crop Produce – 8 lessons
    • 4.4 Making Homemade Soap – 8 lessons

  The curriculum prepares learners to develop practical agricultural, nutrition, hygiene, and household production skills while building core competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, digital literacy, and self-efficacy for sustainable living and future career pathways.
