  This curriculum design is developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). It was first published in 2017 and revised in 2024 following the rationalization of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) based on the recommendations of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER).

    • Heat Transfer – 12 lessons
    • Total: 40 lessons

  The curriculum design also outlines subject general learning outcomes, core competencies, values integration, Pertinent and Contemporary Issues (PCIs) such as environmental conservation, health, disaster risk reduction, and sound pollution, suggested learning experiences, key inquiry questions, assessment rubrics, learning resources, non-formal learning activities, and an integrated Community Service Learning (CSL) component to support practical application of scientific concepts in real-life contexts.
