It was first published in 2017 and revised in 2024 as part of the rationalization of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) following the recommendations of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER).

    • Attributes of Allah – 4 lessons
    • Belief in Angels – 4 lessons
    • Prophets mentioned in the Qur’an and their virtues – 6 lessons
  • Strand 4.0: Devotional Acts
    • Twahara (Ritual Purity) – 3 lessons
    • Wudhu (Ablution) – 3 lessons
    • Conditions for Swalah – 3 lessons
    • Pillars of Swalah – 4 lessons
  • Strand 5.0: Akhlaq (Moral Teachings)
    • Kindness to Allah’s creatures – 2 lessons
    • Islamic manners of dressing – 3 lessons
    • Positive use of media – 3 lessons
    • Prohibitions in Islam (evils of begging) – 2 lessons
    • Dua (Supplication: entering and leaving the house) – 2 lessons
  • Strand 6.0: Muamalaat (Social Relations)

  • Strand 7.0: Islamic Heritage and Civilisation

  The curriculum design also outlines suggested learning experiences, key inquiry questions, core competencies, Pertinent and Contemporary Issues (PCIs), values integration, assessment rubrics, suggested learning resources, non-formal activities, and an integrated Community Service Learning (CSL) project to support practical application of Islamic teachings in real-life situations.
