  The PDF document comprises Grade 2 Rationalized Environmental Activities Curriculum Design.

  This is a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) design developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). The curriculum was first published in 2017 and revised in 2024 following curriculum rationalisation based on recommendations of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms and continuous curriculum monitoring and evaluation.

  The curriculum emphasises practical life skills such as maintaining hygiene and sanitation, understanding family economics, practising safety at home and school, weather observation, soil identification, light conservation, proper water storage, plant care and responsible animal management. It integrates environmental conservation, financial literacy, health promotion, disaster risk reduction, citizenship and climate awareness to nurture responsible, healthy and environmentally conscious learners prepared for smooth transition to Grade 3.
