  This is a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) design developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).   The curriculum design emphasises the life approach method, where learning begins from the learner’s daily experiences and links them to Christian teachings. It also provides detailed performance-based assessment rubrics, integration of values such as love, responsibility, unity and integrity, and highlights non-formal learning opportunities such as nature walks, Bible quizzes, role play, community service and participation in Sunday or Sabbath School to support holistic learner development and smooth transition to the next grade.
